Option 1:-

If you have many closed poly lines like Rectangles, polygones, triangle or circles 

You have to type AA in commandline then enter ( or click space bar) type A and enter for adding area then typr O and enter for selecting the objects.

While you selecting the geometries,  added Area will display in the command line.

Option-2:-

You can use a lisp . apload the lisp and by using the defun you can calculate the area
