What should modern TEFL teacher to make classes interesting and productive?

TEFL teachers can do many thing to make classes interesting and productive. I think many English or any language program should have interactive classes, meaning, not only learning from books or watching youtube, which is great but they should act out what they are being taught. Such as if the topic of the day is greetings or introduction, they should act it out, make it feel like a real life scenario, also have students go out of class and interact with people. For instance go to a coffee shop and place an order, or buy something from the store. When learning a language, it should be made part of ones daily life. Also having group interaction or buddy systems, competitions who can speak English the longest, so I would say try to make English or the language you are learning part of your life, just like your native language.
