I have an employee who is never late, does a good honest days work and can be relied upon every time he is asked to do anything, he never spends any time in my office, never complains and always smiles. This employee to mind my is a great asset.

I have another employee, who makes me laugh, is great company, likes spending time in my office and has some good ideas to improve processes and works reasonable hard when needed, he coaches others and helps them fit into their roles, however, he is sometimes unreliable and takes time off at short notice sick. This employee to my mind is a good employee - the last two attributes let him and the company down.

MUHAMMAD SAJID

YES OF COURSE

In my case, as a Manager I would know the difference.   But again this statement is a case to case basis.   There are some managers who landed the position by accident say a Manager resigned then the only person in-line has to assume the position but he or she was not equip to handle the job because of probably insufficient management training etc etc etc.   Again, case to case, I'm not generalizing for all.
