Good looks is relevant, to be a news reporter is very demanding tough job and requires alot of reading and following up for local and world events, also should master her presenting language and represent her channel not only on screen but off screen

They should have such looks. It is a media based on picture and what the people see. General knowledge comes second and others skills can be aquired later.

Some of the TV stations hire reporters based on their look but look is not the only thing they are looking at. I think that having great experiences, good storytelling ability and extraordinary communication skills are the keys to be hired.

Having a good looking appearance is not gonna make you a great reporter.

YES! but 'good looks' is subjective - and whether you beleive you are 'good looking' inside and out - then you will be hired. You have to remember if you want to be a news reporter - you will be and if you are unsure, then you'll struggle with this role. I hope that helps.
