Domains, workgroups, and homegroups represent different methods for organizing computers in networks. The main difference among them is how the computers and other resources on the networks are managed.

Computers running Windows on a network must be part of a workgroup or a domain. Computers running Windows on home networks can also be part of a homegroup, but it's not required.

Computers on home networks are usually part of a workgroup and possibly a homegroup, and computers on workplace networks are usually part of a domain.

Difference B/W Domain and workgroup is,

Domain is centerly managable depoyment in which one or more system perform as servers and other are members. in domain enviroment you can manage systems from a central point, you can control user accounts, procedure of users access, you also can restrict user. also in domain enviroment user does not have a local account for log in on any computer, but any user can log in on any PC of company which is domain joined client. this is also known as client server networking.

in workgroup all computers are peers, no computer has control over another computer, in this cas every system has its own local user account to allow log in to user on it, also it can not be centerlay managed. workgroup typically does not exists over more then20PCs.

Also ISA server is some thing else from domain and workgroup.

ISA erver basicaly is a gateway (Internet security accelarater) which was used to control internet trafic from in side of any company to out side (internet). also note that this server is no more in use now TMG has replaced ISA.
