Is renewable energy viable yet? How will it affect the future of the economy in the Middle East?

Taking about alternative sources of energy has been going on for decades now, but the main source of energy is still non-renewable fossil fuel by a large margin. Is it a purely technical issue? Or are there underlying economic and political roots to it? How will the economy look like when the "Green revolution" make a landing?

My prediction is that as people grow more aware of the impact they have on the environment, the adoption of renewable energy sources will increase. To lessen their negative effects on the environment, some companies are turning to photovoltaics and automation solutions like those found at https://fluix.io/industry-renewable-energy..

Renewable sources of energy will, without a doubt, have an impact on the Middle East, but one that will not be as significant as that of conventional sources.

Yes it is!

We already crossed the point of economic viability back in 2015 when the cost of generating energy from renewable was on level with traditional fossil fuels. Since then the cost of generating energy is on the decline.

Renewables are the right investment for the future because they offer the security of energy generation and environmental sustainability.

Green energy is green economy.

I think that the renewable energy will be the solution which will help the economy in the middle east , Its the time to think green and forget the dark energy

Yes, renewable energy will affect the Middle East, but not as strong as traditional energy

Pakistan is endowed with potential renewable energy resources such as wind, solar, hydro, and biomass. These resources have the capacity to be major contributors to future energy production matrix, climate change reduction efforts, and the sustainable energy development of the country

The whole world and the world leaders, Peoples are looking eco-friendly and renewable sources in their own country despite non-renewable sources.

I am Sure that entire non-renewable fuel source will come to end while the replacement of renewable sources and it reflects entire oil minerals country, Better I thought they(GCC) should start and look some changes for the development which is given a good income, because most of the notional amounts are spent only for the citizen  scale without any country development and they will face internal problems, jobless, national security and some countries will face internal war at that time no other country will support weather western /Europe or Asian.

In this matter, the developed countries like Russia will never affect they always look and work for the future also I hope Iran will not affect from this matter.

I think that renewable energy will be more familiar next decades. Fossil fuel has many disadvantages like it's causing pollution when using also it may be debleged gradually. So we should start make use of renewable energy to replace fossil fuel in any time.

The Arab region in general and the Middle East in particular have enormous potential in renewable energies.    The average annual solar radiation in the region is one of the highest in the world. There are also air ducts that allow wind speed to be exploited through windmills, without reference to the heat energy stored in the ground. But despite this abundance, exploitation is still small compared to the abundance of it, and since this energy is renewable and environmentally friendly, it will undoubtedly contribute to the recovery of the economies of the countries of the region and reduce the impact of fluctuations in the prices of oil and gas .
