Hello there!

The full stack web developer nanodegree from Udacity, gives you a good insight about foundations of programming. Then it will go deeper into programming, particularly python scripting language, giving you an insight about the syntax and how to write simple code. From there you start getting a good grasp and they get deeper by allowing you to solve quizzes where you write functions, use classes from certified python documentation and create your own classes. Finally, they will teach you how to work with repositories, use other developers repositories to solve a problem or upload your own into your repository and save different versions of your code for later reference/use.

There will be a Multiple Choice Questions type of exam at the end.

From my personal point of view, I think acquiring a certificate like that is good for your CV especially if you don't have python hands on experience since its a strong scripting language and worth learning and it will definitely make your resume stronger.

About the average salary, it all depends on the size of the organization and how well esteemed it is but to give an approximate, it would range from AED 7k in a small organization up to 18k in a well-known organization.

Cheers and good luck!

Like any application, you can't rely on one thing. Everything helps. You can get a job, but you can't rely on the certificate alone. You need to have the knowledge. Most developers will want you to have functional experience in all of these (not expert): PHP, but MySQL administration, Ubuntu, AWS, Docker, JavaScript, CSS, Node, Ruby, Python, Git, Adobe suite. Get to know everything you can need and keep learning. You won't get hired because of a certificate. You will get hired if you know what you need to know. If that certificate helps get you there, you have to fill in your gaps in knowledge. In the US, they love seeing candidates who contribute to the open source communities. Go to Hackathons, join the online groups and local communities of developers. A lot of developers still don't have formal Computer Science Degrees. So take that to mean you are still competitive as long as you know your stuff and that includes courses and certificates completed.

The short answer is Yes it does. The long answer is job seeking is a complicated thing and you can't rely on one thing. Many people working in tech know that the people they work with do not have computer science degrees. They learned their job from a variety of ways. Self learning, books, online courses, certificates, on the job, peers, groups of developers and so on. The community of people out there who are gathering to develop together, talk about the industry and help each other get hired is huge. I think relying on just a certificate is going to hurt your prospects. Build a diverse strategy. Self learning, certificates, knowledge tests, networking, and more. Make sure you can show for what you know and that you know what you studied well.

I don't know much about Nanodegree from Udacity, but if you have some experience to add in your resume then it surely will be considered. The IT market in GCC is not that wide as like USA or India. A fresher may start with a minimum of 6k riyal per month package just to begin with.
