I get a vibration signal on HMI screen instead of there isn't any motion for the menitored Gas Turbine; any justification please?

hi

I did not fully understand, if you are implying if the issue in the HMI or in site. there are many question raised in my mind.

1st we want the answer Key Q

when the issue happened? after shutdown? after upgrade? the system never been commissioned? What have been changed from the last time? Is there minor change in the site? Are speaking about seismic, radial or axial ?

Do you mean there is issue in the screen it sell or there scale factor in the screen?

is this HMI (System 1) or the HMI for DCS where communication scale factor might be the issue? is the communications Modbus or OPC. did you check the raw unit and engineering unit? Did you check the reading is correspond to the right signal to right unit?

is this reading in DCS have been coenacting to the right Modbus address (right gas turbine unit (not running )).

There might be swipe with other gas turbine somewhere with another unit

1st of all I will check the reading in the controller directly for example BN rack and System1.

then I will check the full loop (FULL LOOP for 2nd time) in deep details and look for any ground issue to eliminate any noise. (keep in mind the noise/ground even might be in another loop in the same JB)

check the grounding switch in the rack

check the full loop installed as it should be from power supplied if fixed, teflon cover/shield etc..

remember many vibrations are based on eddy current and it high sensitive specially with the right material which been monitored. So very minor change will give reading
