It's curious that most of the answers already posted discuss sales, not marketing.

Most of them mention the product too, which is also odd.  Technically, you don't even need a product for a successful marketing campaign. 

Successfully marketing campaigns tend to have a well defined target group and a very clear goal.   And a simple way of measuring whether the goal has been achieved. 

In most cases, the general purpose of the marketing is to bring leads into the sales funnel, and the whole project is really only successful if the leads turn into actual sales.  Good sales activity behind the marketing is therefore essential.

Lastly, good marketing often touches people in some way.  It produces a response. 

This is the best TV advertisement I ever saw.  Everybody I knew remembered it vividly years later.  (The gender stereotyping was somewhat clunky even then.)

Every marketing needs in our lives Today marketing is no longer limited to the marketing of goods and services, but marketing extends to personal marketing too, which goes beyond the marketing of companies and institutions very much, and we find one of the famous rules in marketing science that confirms who does not know what marketing can not be marketed successful.Marketing is a great part of the art, which explains the success of traders and simple sellers in the marketing of their products without studying the science of marketing helps them in the marketing skills that they possess without knowledge of them and therefore emphasize that many people have marketing skills without being aware.In order to be successful marketing you must have several skills:First skill: related to your behavior.Second skill: related to marketing tools and tools itself.First, behavioral skills of marketing:1 - must be characterized by the love of knowledge about marketing and everything related to the product you want to market, and love of knowledge stems from within the person so it is a behavioral skills of marketing.2 - The marketer needs to be able to assume responsibility because the marketer requires him to take many decisions that require him to deal immediately with the positions encountered during the marketing process, which requires that be able to make decisions through the ability to assume responsibility.3. As a marketer needs to work in a team, because marketing does not depend on one individual but marketing as a team so that marketing points do not conflict from person to person marketing team members.4. The marketer needs to be flexible to help him with good marketing.Marketing ToolsThe marketing process does not succeed only by relying on personal skills of marketing, but requires several marketing tools are as follows:1 - Study the area where you shop, if you shop for cars, you must know the components of the car and the benefits that you enjoy and if you work in the marketing of clothing, you must know the materials that made clothes, colors and prices and the difference between them and other products and so on.2 - You need to choose the appropriate means of marketing, in the sense that the marketing medium commensurate with the product marketed to it and with the target group of the marketing campaign, may be marketing in electronic or non-electronic.3 - Marketing the product through the support images whether these images are illustrative or expressive in addition to the real pictures.4- The successful marketer, especially the online marketer, needs to learn several programs to benefit from and marketing the product whether it is a good or a good idea, such as different design programs.

1, Target :

first and most thing is to understand your customers those who are going to use your product or services. unless you didnt find out target customers you will loose the game 

2, Value of your product and services : 

after under standing your Targeted customers. you should think about the value of your product or services which can afford by your target customers. and you should convience them  how this value help them and  save their time

3, Finding out the (smart) ways of your Marketing : 

you have to find out the better way of marketing through social medias because it less costlier than convetional TV news paper adds. And it is quit rechable to

4, Offers : 

Give some offers to big organistaion or individual customers those who can use your porduct or services in high level or some one who can bring future opportunites for your product or services 

5, Cold calls and Followups : 

In this current competitive world people may think this is oldest way of marketing but still it is not expired and there is no substitute for this process

Instead of giving 5 important aspects, I will give 1 very important aspect of marketing which is the marketer's confidence on the product he /she is selling or promoting.  Most of the time, seller's are just promoting items/products that they themselves does not believe in or even use.  They are just after the sales or reaching their quota. 

Other aspects will be the 4Ps

2) the product itself - is there a need for the product you are selling

2) Place/Location - this may be obsolete as most products can now be purchased online

3) Price - 

4) People - target market / demographics

According to me if you want to be successful in marketing you have follow the below points and this will make a lot of change in your physical appearance and your speach.

1) Good Listener

2) Presense of Mind

3) Doing your homework before going to the client.

4) Being updated on market trends what you are selling and what can influence your market.

5) Appearance matters a lot, it can be realted to your clothes, your time and the way you follow-up everything.
