Open cheque” means one uncrossed cheque. ... When two parallel transverse lines are drawn on the face of the cheque on top left hand corner of the cheque, it is known as crossed cheque. Crossed cheques should be routed through account of the payee only with any bank and amount will not be paid in cash at the counter.
