The Yellow Press is a non-professional press aimed at arousing public opinion to increase sales and spread scandals by exaggeration or bias, helped by publisher and journalist William Randolph Hearst (1863-1951), who in every aspect of the United States had a newspaper or magazine. The publication of the news took an interesting approach, revealing scandals and crimes which helped to create the yellow press. It was called the yellow press because it was printed on cheap yellow papers and yellow newspapers may be daily, weekly, monthly or periodic

Yellow journalism, is a US term for a type of journalism that presents little or no legitimate well-researched news and instead uses eye-catching headlines to sell more newspapers. Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering or sensationalism.

The term is coined to refer to a type of journalism, which is not well researched and solely conducted to increase the sales of newspapers. This is normally achieved through sensationalization of issues or topics without proper research conducted to verify the authenticity of the information disseminated.
