I believe that the food industry is one of the most popular in the market and the most difficult to compete. As a graduate, it must be an industry that is easy to promote, and it is necessary to face some difficulties in order to gain experience.

Hi,

For me the best way to practice marketing for a beginner is the consumer goods sector (supermarket, hypermarket ..).

There are two different answers for this question. The first one is; an industry that does not have big rivalry such as constructions so the fresh grads will have the opportunity to collect more info about how marketers work in real life. However, such industries won't give the fresh grads a sold experince in marketing, but on the other hand it will help them to understand the work and prepare them to join other industries with their selfconfidience.

The second answer is to join an industry with high rivalry market such as FMCG. This type of industries will give the fresh grads the opportunity to have good and fast experience.

For me, I recommend the first answer.

Any industry is good as long as one is interested to learn the product/service and execute in his own style.

I think every industry has its own charm. It all depends what is your background and which industry are you passionate about. For e.g: If your interest lies in Consumer Durables then perhaps, you would not be able give your 100% if you join a Pharmaceutical industry.

However, the upcoming trends in Marketing lies in the Digital Marketing area because of its extensive reach and cost effectiveness versus ATL and other BTL activities.

FMCG

Any industry is good as marketing is a subject which can be used across all companies. You will gain different experiences as each industry has their own market segments, products etc but in the end what you learn and what you know can be developed across all companies
