How relevant, the word (Sales) to the field activities ? and do you think the continuous improvement in technology would reduce the field work for sales ?

Field activities are quite relevent to SALES as it leads to the point of contacts for promoting various SALES activities such as need analysis, propogating, awareness, demonstration,etc.
New techonologies would not replace the filed sales activities to develop point of contacts required but will enhance the quality and quantity of the activities to increase the overall productivity.
