How can you be strict with the workers and at the same time earn their respect and make them satisfied ?

Its not about being strict, it is about being consistent. If you apply all policies and regulations of the organization without being prejudice there should be no problems being "strict". Communicating thus effectively is the key. If all employees see that youre fair in your approach to dissapline you will have no problems.

I will provide proper tanning to all workers and explain them our respect depend on work performance in Company. We need respect from our Management, but if we not do our work as required that conditions our image will effects.

In-additions to above I will explain to worker’s  

We are agree with company procedures and with our work targets, so we should follow our commitment and do the job at maximum level for great achievements.

In every organization there is an organogram which in most case display power and authority. It also shows delegation and communication processes. When your superior show concern about your personal challenge in life, he or she earn your respect, when their is a challenge on the job and your superior speak to you with official language, he or she earn your respect. Certain language or words allow leaders to loose their respect. Example Mr. Donald, I have heard your explanation but it is not acceptable as a reason for poor performance.

Before getting strict with workers (unionised or otherwise) it is important that they are fully familiar with the rules and regulations and working norms at the establishment. Normally we paste orders or convey them once, but that is not good enough. Managers at all levels must interact with their commands and repeatedly convey the rules, regulations and directions of the organisation.

However, in every organisation one will have defaulters who have a tendency to repeat violations and they need to be dealt with firmly. Give them a couple of warnings, try and redeem their behaviour but if the violations continue, deal with them with a heavy hand making an example of such cases.

Communication within the organisation is important and actions by the Management need to be explained at times to the workers to help them understand that discipline violations will not be spared but at the same time the punishment is without bias and uniform.

Being strict with the workers mean if you are a manager then whenever u talk within the office hours you should talk and praise praiseworthy workers, appreciate them. On the other hand deal with the pessimists ones strictly. This in turn means whenever there are break free hours or break times you can unofficially / leisurely have a word with them on common topics or ask about any issue which they have. This way you will be their friend as well as boss!!

Employee behavior at the at the Work place is influenced  by  a combination of factors including corporate culture and philosophy.

All in all the workplace needs to put in place structures that ensure adherence to management policy in line with leadership requirements.

With proper structures and policies in place, the management need not to focus on employee satisfaction but strike a balance between employee performance as opposed to earning respect from the company.

Discipline and guidance of workers is paramount to achieving good results, therefore they are very imperative. Ironically been strict to workers and laying down the expectations earns the respect of the workers as it portraits leadership. It allows workers to clearly understand that the sole purpose of been employed is to provide results for the stakeholders and that the work environment requires rules and regulations in order to thrive.
