One the best ways to know which is better is by comparing health indices of the two countries e.g infant mortality which is lower in Cuba with4./ compared to USA's5.9/,also under5 mortality rate is5.8/ in Cuba while that of USA is7.8/,patient to doctor ratio in Cuba is6.4/ and in USA,its2./ meaning that more patients enjoy more attention and better care from each doctor in Cuba than USA and also life expectancy in Cuba isyears for men and. for women while in USA its and v. respectively.Cuba is majorly practicing preventive medicine, nipping diseases at the bud, rather than curative and also Cubans enjoy free health services as against fee for service in USA cos they have better health insurance programs for their citizens, these arte few among many other health indices. These,in my own opinion means Cuba has a better health system than USA.

The United States is the only developed country in the world where there is no comprehensive health care system. Funding for health services depends mainly on private health insurance, which covers about 67% of Americans. It owns the majority of US-run health facilities and is operated privately. The expansion of private health insurance and the lack of comprehensive public insurance have undoubtedly led to a significant increase in health care costs and have severely curtailed the efficiency of the health system. Has in fact led to a dramatic increase in health care costs and has greatly reduced the efficiency of its health system

If we talk about the State of Cuba, which in recent decades has made progress in primary health care, the Cuban model now encompasses a public health approach that meets the global health definition of primary health care. This is due to the role of family medicine, where there is a doctor for every 170 families

Health care system in Cuba riflect a symbolic acheivement among the developed and developing countries. I suppose behind this success the Government innitiatives, planning and sincere action played a dynamic rule from central to periphary community & clinical to public sectors.
