Hi,Android studio support java lang and it is good.With the help of java you can make an app also knowing the knowledge of android studio functionality like 

1. What is an activity?.

2.Activity life cycle.

3. Xml and its widget.

4. Async Task.

etc there are lot of things you should know to make an app.And if you work hard you can make an app within a month also meantime you can get knowledge from any video tutorials ,books etc.
