Vitamin A improves vision, and promotes bone growth and development of the teeth. It also helps keep the skin and hair healthy. We also need vitamin A for the reproduction of cells and certain hormones. Studies have also confirmed that vitamin A is an effective preventative against measles.

Sources of vitamin A in fruits: apricot, avocado, blackberry, melon, kiwi, mango, oranges, peaches, watermelon.

Sources of vitamin A in vegetables: asparagus, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, peas, tomatoes, pumpkin, spinach, garlic.
