If you are nervous during an interview, it could mean that you are not confident about your skills for the job you are applying for.  If this is the case, maybe this is not the job for you.  You need to find out what it is that you have that you know will benefit the company.

So, it is important that you know your profession, this will give you confidence to take on any challenge regarding your skills or knowledge about the job.

Another way to built your confidence, is to do research about the company you are going to work for.  Go to the company website, google the history of the company, read news articles about the company.  This will give you an insight of what the company is all about.  It will also let you know if this is really the kind of company that you want to work for.

But most important is to know and love your profession.  Also understand that in an interview, you are trying to sell yourself to the company.  Let them know, that because of your skills and background, you can be an asset to th company.

Simple Method: You have two options:

  1. You may sit on your seat wihtout moving any part of your body. And so you wont look nervous.
  2. Or control each move you make to make it normal: No sudden moves, e.g if your pen fall down grape it slowing better yet normaly don't move fast. No useless moves, e.g don't shake your leg or drink water when you don't need.

Stronger Method:

  • The best advice here will be training by puting yourself in such situations with in a familiar environment (such like your house of favourite park).
  • You don't have to make an interview with your friend to practice, you may do something makes you nervous and imagine yourself at the interview answering the worst question you might be asked.
  • Try to build a house card it helps you to be more peaceful.

Thanks for the invitation Dana Qaisi.

When you feel nervous, take a deep breath, count to three, and then turn on the charm. speak clearly in confident voice. be attentive to non verbal behavior. Be poised, look the interviewer in the eye, sit up straight and keep both feet on the floor. you should control nervous habbit such as fingernail biting, hair twirling, and giggling
