A Good teacher who builds good bridges between himself and his students to transmit a fruitful information.

Elicit some information in the beginning of the lecture motivates a good prepared students as well as gives a warring signal to other students that the race of the day has been started. You will feel that from the silence of the classroom :-)

By making the lecture more attractive with less words but more actions like animations, will certainly attract all the students and encourage them to pace the lecture slide by slide to discover eagerly and patiently the content of the following slides. The content could be an animations, pictures or may be a video clip.

To sum it up, It is all depend on your mood and importance of your job, if you care a lot about it.
