What is the difference between utm and firewall? why we use utm?

Simply UTM is layer 7, and firewall is layer 3

FIrewall is just a device which protects your network (LAN) from outer network (Internet)

UTM is more than just a firewall it has functions like packate sniffer, Antivirus, IPS, IDS
