In today’s fast paced business world, it’s likely that you’ll have more than one thing to work on at any given time. To continually succeed, you need to know how to manage multiple projects at once. This starts with assigning priorities to everything you work on, writing detailed plans, and keeping project information together. You can practice working on dreaded projects first, transitioning between projects when you get stuck, and reducing pointless tasks. When you are managing other people, it is good to know how they communicate and make sure you delegate and let people work.

Organizing EfficientlyPrioritize your projects to keep things in perspective. Not everything you work on has the same payoff for finishing it or consequences for not finishing it. As you work on projects and constantly add more to your list, use some kind of system to remind yourself what is the most important and what you can put off for long amounts of time.[

Write out a detailed process for each project. Every project will entail multiple phases, steps, or aspects. Make a habit of breaking projects down into specific chunks of work. Write these out and make a plan for how you will work through each step of the process. Assign a time limit for each task and stick to that, but overestimate how long it will take so you have some cushion.[2

Keep important information in a single, designated place. Storing vital information on your various projects in one location helps ensure you never lose track of it. This could mean one notebook or spreadsheet, or one specific folder for all project documents.

We should organise and coordinate the two projects with the team. To have for each project a coordinator based on the country where the project is launched; who will be responsible and accountable.. Provide a clear action plan with timeline.. Conduct a way of communication to follow the actions with the owners and involve the team if there is somes changes; to make a decision and implement the new changes.. Plan a move to visit the field on biweekly if needed it depends of the criticals points of the project .. .Should be proactive and make the decision on the right time.. So this is a simply way to manage a projects on remote..

This scenario treads a fine line between project management and programme management. If the bias is towards programme management you will have to ensure that both projects strive to meet the enterprise goals and as such one will have to draw out the common facets that will meet those goals. In the unlikely event that both projects are mutually exclusive then one should also strive to identify and facilitate the commonalities that meet such strategic goals.

Both projects may have their own steering committees and as such a project manager will be answerable to both committees as well as their business sponsors. Again it is best to draw out their commonalities and modalities between both committees. This will mitigate duplication of effort and will bring an understanding for each business sponsor of the demands and dependencies of each project. This will also identify when contention of resources by both projects.

We now move on to the specifics of each project. Each project may involve different subject matters, different languages, different legislations and different resources. This will require amazing PM skills and mental agility to be on top of all the risks, issues, reporting lines at any one time. Unless the PM is of robust character and rigorous ability then they will get bogged down in internecine issues.

Finally one of the key methods of success is by delegating as much of the tasks as possible to trusted project participants. This is utterly mandatory when a PM is going to be so stretched. Without this trust then the project may fail right from the get-go.

Even though its a bit tough but can be managed by effective project planning along with skilled manpower & resources whom we know their strengths and their communication skills in advance. And the PM should be having a weekly meetings with his staff, consultant and client to agree the targetted mile stone on progress works and shall be agreed on mitigation plan to bring back the progress into track, if any delay occurs. PM should be monitoring the daily targets and inject more resources to project as and when required.
