The most common form of banquet service is plate service (also called American Service), plate service requires a large kitchen and serving staff for a short service time and the food is plated in the kitchen.
Second is Russian service, food is served from platters or other large dishes by servers, and sufficient food for one table is place on each platter.
Third is English service, food on platters of in bowls is placed on the table and guests help themselves.
Fourth is French service (also called cart or tableside service), items are prepared tableside from a cart or gueridon.
Fifth is Buffet service, hot and cold foods are attractively displayed, and guest walk up and help themselves.
Sixth is Preset service, the first course is set on the table before guests sit down.
Seventh is the Butler -style service, hors d' oeuvres are placed on platters and circulated among the guests by servers.
And last new trend is the A la carte catering, two or three items are offered instead of a set menu, and guests can choose their own entrees.
In Cash bar that also called a no-host bar, each guest pays the bartender for his or her own drinks.
In Host bar, guest do not pay for drinks, the host pays for the drinks consumed.

Host bar are a common feature in the night-time entertainment industry.
And host bars are similar establishments where primarily male staff cater to females.
The host issues vouchers to attendees for a limited number of free drinks, and attendees pay for any further drinks themselves in host bar.
In cash bar the host pays for all drinks, either by the hour, by the bottle, by the drink, or per person.
