Eyelid surgery, also called Blefaroplasty, is related to the excess of skin in the upper eyelid and the excess of skin and the saggy of the fat pads on the lower eyelid.

I can appear that this surgery is simple, but is related to aesthetic and functional factors to take in consideration to avoid a wrong diagnostic or carry on insufficient treatment when is not considered all the structures involved.

You can perform a simple skin resection or more complex treatments dealing with the tarsal accommodation and suspension with or without subperiostal remodeling to avoid consequences to the normal function of the eyelids.

The ability consists on identifying correctly each structure and evaluate its contribution to the final result. It is a surgery that has to be performed by trained Plastic Surgeons or Oculopalpebral Ophtamic spetialist.

the eylide surgery is the surgery of eys and eye spechalist can consider it very well.

Commonly called blepharoplasty, upper or lower and used mainly for blepharoptosis or cosmetic reasons. I would like to share that it is not an easy learning curve however, and one should know to avoid assymetry or correct it. The design for preventing and correcting asymmetry was designed by me years ago, using some landmarks.

Also, learn how it differs in Caucasians, Eurasianas and Asians. I designed the reduction of upper ,bulging, fatty eyelid and creation of the neo sulcus in Asian eyes. I use the dynamic sling and dislike the  static method which gives a strange post op look to the eyes. The no- stitch blepharoplasty is a lousy surgery and  looks awful over the years. Also I am against the Japanese  doll -eye look after too much skin excision.

Do not try this surgery if you are not familiar with technique, downtime, adjustment of post op skin, redo surgery, and how it works.

  • Fatty deposits that appear as puffiness in the eyelids
  • Bags under the eyes
  • Drooping lower eyelids that reveal white below the iris

Eyelid surgery is intended for the treatment of drowsy eyelids, by removing excess skin, muscles and fatty tissues. As people age, their eyelids dilate, and the muscles that support the eyelids are no longer able to do so as they weaken over time.

As a result, fat is expected to accumulate above and below the eyelids, causing the eyebrows to blur, the eyelids drooping and the sinuses forming under the eyes. In addition to the fact that this may make your face look older, this excess of the skin in the eyelids hanging from the field of vision can be limited. This surgery can limit or completely eliminate vision problems caused by eyelids

Generally in outpatient clinics, so that the patient stays for a day in the hospital. In order to contribute to the decision-making process, the patient should be aware of the expectations of the surgery so the patient must take full time to evaluate the benefits of surgery compared to the complications that can be caused by this surgery

Eyelid surgery can be performed simultaneously with other surgeries, such as eyebrow lift, face lift, and facial skin. If the patient has performed the surgery only to improve his appearance, it is expected that the health insurance will not cover the costs of the surgery

Before deciding on the date of surgery, the patient must meet with a cosmetic doctor in order to decide on the effectiveness of surgery in his condition. This meeting mostly includes:

Medical history of the patient. The eye doctor may ask the patient before surgery for the diseases that the patient has suffered in the past and present
