I did, yes and that is when we try to build a long term relationship with a prospect overlooking immediate gains. Marketing takes over from sales in this case.

Yes, I have also experienced selling a product wherein I will not only earn, but I've loss a profit. This is a part of marketing strategy where you give customer sample of your product. Once they've tried your offer and they liked it, there's a greater probability that they'll comeback.

I will never do that , at least i will sold it with the exact price as a low price , build a relationship dose not depend on a price it's trust issue.

The relationship should be established for the quality of service/product you provide/sell. if you sell something cheap to establish a relation the same will be subject to that only.

Offcourse the personality of the parties involve and the details of the transaction are relevant to give the right answer as not all the trasnactions and people are the same.

I prefer not to establish relationship based on lowering my price, cause it might be difficult to maintain our relationship later.

focusing only on giving lower price is not healthy

we have to insure match the need of the customer to be able sell our product with any price.

I don't think it's a good idea, customers might get used to that over and over!
