A QC inspector tends to have a more hands-on and direct approach at the site. He is responsible for quality maintenance and application of quality standards during execution at the site. On the other hand, a QC engineer is entrusted with the task of providing a framework and methodology for maintenance of the quality standards. In terms of hierarchy, a QC inspector is the entry level job in this field while QC engineer is a more experienced person.
