MRP - Materials Requirements Planning DRP - Distribution Requirements Planning ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Yes of course there is a major difference. ERP is the latest software which substantially covers and ticks all the criteria the Top management requires. That doesn't mean MRPII is outdated, there are lots of organization using it and they're very content with thier specific uses.
