I would say it actually depends on who your target customers are. For example, I would not be in my casual attire if my target customers are lawyers, doctors and corporate workers. You have to at least blend in with the crowd. Also, when dealing with customers in malls or on the streets, you have to look approachable and/or reachable. So you also have to look the way they do or else they would feel intimidated.

It depends upon products and company as well, sometime some products need specific dress while others don't. A CSR of KFC will be in Red T-Shirt as its related to there brand but for a banker, its totally different.

I fully agree with Mr. John Mories' excellent submission. The target audience matters alot. In this Global village, the culture of smartness or decency is cross-cutting & shared by everyone, therefore suits or formal clothing is what almost every society treasures for CSR officers. Thanks for the invitation

customer service representative is a key part to keep customer satisfied. Suit/Formals appearance gives customer rich feeling. Appearance + product knowledge + approach makes CSR execute the work faster

As a consumer, the clothes/uniform doesn't really matter to me, rather I prefer asking someone who looks approachable and who wears a smile all the time.

Greeting and respect

By type of business, and the nature of the profession or specialty

Thanks with my best regards
