Agree with Brijesh Patel. CorelDraw is a vector graphics editor. Their first version "1.0" was released for Windows version2.1.
Then they formally changed the name to Corel's Graphics Suite when windows3.0 and3.1 for workgroup showed up. I believe they have reached X6 version now.. X7 is an alpha release and will turn in to beta very soon and will be released for testing as RC.
YES! It it is a replacement for an alternatative solutions such as Adobe, Autodesk Entertainment Suite, GiMP and more.. But its not only that, in fact it is the the cheapest professional graphic suite in the market, plus its one of the populars!
It supports Colour Management and Scripting tho! The CorelDraw has a maximum zoom of45000% just like the ZCubes if you know what it is. But Illustrator only6400%? Huh?
Comparing CorelDraw to AI (Adobe Illustrator) Corel can support a page size of:45.7 x45.7 m and adobe illustrator can support5.8 x5.8 m max?? Ugh! Why its expensive then? Oh well, its just adobe!
Another good thing about CorelDraw, that it supports about92% of the well known formats in the market to open/import and/or export.
But Adobe are very limited with the externals but good with the internal family, if you know what I mean.
