IT Service Continuity Management (or ITSCM) ensures that IT services run at a minimum agreed service level. This can be provided by foreseing and managing risks, as well as planning and documenting recovery measures in case of extremes, like a disaster for example.

IT Service Continuity is usually tied with Business Continuity, hence the purpose of IT Service Continuity Management is to alwats provide an accepted level of continued IT operations, which in turn support and ensure Business Continuity as well. 

The main aim and objective of IT Service Continuity Management is to maintain the continuation of the services by managing risks.it can support business continuity of the organization or can be a part of business continuity.
