Social media has made a great impact in the way companies, hotels, restaurant and banks handle their customers both negatively and positively

The positive impact:

- it breaks all geographical barriers making it easier to interact with customers anytime any where

- it has provided a fast way to make inquiries and give feedback

- use of social media also allows organisations to reach out to a wider audience

- social media makes it easier to provide reference or advertise to people in the same social circles

 

The negative impact:

- some social media platforms have failed to provide up to date information to customers

- potential customers can be discouraged by negative reviews provided on social media

In current era, social media serves as one of the most powerful tool for employer branding including other additional benefits linked together. Social media is a great way to empower what the company has to offer. It's a great advantage and disadvantage for the handling of the above commercial companies. On the advantage side of it,  it's a way to gain many feedbacks from the public which in terms could enhance the company's customer relation and making them more advance in how to improve on product and services, great for advertising and a speedy way of reaching the public both globally and internationally . on the disadvantage side of it, could be a downfall in exploiting information for competitors which in terms put these companies at risk with their competitors etc, it's also a channel that could hindered the company's reputation  by the blink of an eye if something goes wrong internally. in conclusion i would say that the impact of social media has far more greater impact for a company's growth and development  as well as financial gains based  on the fact that it's quicker channel of networking and advertising globally and internationally and has a lesser disadvantages comparing to the advantages in my opinion.

Social media had a big impact in making these organizations reach out to a broader society, but the services provided by those establishment upon customer contact has yet to prove and show a dramatic increase in customer satisfaction and positive experience. Service should be excelled or bad reviews will be as consequences leading to a huge negative impact cause by the tool initially used to create a positive one (social media)

Social media now is a very important way to deal with the customers directly, to know their experiences and to get their feedback.

As important it seems to be, it can also be dangerous, if its been used in a dishonest way, people might leave a negative feedback thinking they'll get a compensation, or competitors might use this to affect your reputation.

On the other hand, having a good feedback on Social media is like a non paid ads, happy customers will bring their friends and followers without any cost on the company.

Social media is very effective if its used in a professional way.
