The rise of Agile Project management was happened to overcome the limitations of traditional project management styles like Waterfall. The key factor of Agile Practices is that - it supports changing requirements.Where requirements are uncertain, Agile comes into picture. All the reqirements of clients can not be estimated upfront & at the very early stage of project. They can be changed with the time & as per latest trends in market. In traditional method, all the requirements used to be documented first in lenghty formats & technical team used to work on it for months. And then there could be a risk that, by the time the final product gets delivered, it will not be able to match up with the current demands of customers & latest trends in market. The final product may fail to even compete with its rivals. On the other hand, Agile practice allows you to deliver project tasks in various chunks, also called as Sprints. Team can continuously release the completed project tasks, take feedback from client & do the modifications if required. This methodology helps in keeping the product updated as per current market. Product can become better with each iteration as continuously it can be reviewed. In traditional methods, team can not go ahead to next step without completing the earlier step. And when it becomes inevitable to go back to earlier step, it is very costly & indeed, time consuming. Agile solves this problem efficiently as whole project is broken into various small tasks by following iterative process.
