Can we call dilution a solution to pollution?

Difficult question indeed! Dilution can pollute a pure environment friendly solution and can little purify a pure pollutent.

I will say it depends on what has to be diluted but if should take into consideration water pollution i may say yes in the sense that studies have revealed that rivers, seas and lakes are said to be less polluted during high tides than low tides. One of the reasons is dilution considering the fact that during high tides the water level increases thus reducing the concentration of the pollutant corresponding to the volume of water.
