Happiness, joy, serenity, enthusiasm, self-awareness are inner states of mind.
So money will never succeed in buying them, no matter where we are.
However a large part of humanity live in a 'material world' where to have is much more relevant than to be.
This could explain (allegedly :) why we are (still) debating this issue rather than taking it for granted !

If the state of mind is towards to material world, then yes..money can buy happiness. State of mind is not always steady and therefore the bought happiness doesn't long last but by that time the same mind aim at something else.
MONEY DOESN’T BUY HAPPINESS, NEITHER DOES POVERTY
We all need some stuff, and we all have to pay the bills, right?
Money helps accentuate these areas, sure, but the size of your wallet is much less important once your priorities are in line with your beliefs.
this statement holds a lot behind it, lets put it this way yes money cannot buy love or true friendship or family or even good health these things that matter in life the most but let us be real money do buy a nice toy your kid wants that makes her happy; money do pay for having a good health and money do buy a comfort life especially in our days, so we must go back to the word balance money is essential in building a good life but we must not believe in can buy life.

money is a mean to get something but not everything , it is the important mean for people's lives because it is the most usable compared with other means ,and my answer yes money can buy happiness in some cases and in some other cases you need another mean such as satisfaction , smartness ,ambition, passion , man is greedy and every person decides how he wants to be happy , but definitely money will pay for your rent , your property , your education,your car ,your medical services and even your title , look around , people fight for money , people are killed for money , countries are destroyed because of fortunes and resources even you buy the best footballers by money , this site was created for money.
Money is a Necessity. No one can deny this fact.But when money becomes everything in life, human kindness starts to disappear. At the age of 21,God blessed me with a set of Twin girls who are 27 years old now.At age 24, God's blessing continue to rise into giving me a set of Quadruplett( 2 boys+2 girls) and ( No Fertility involved; All natural), the quads now are 24 years of age.
When I was 28 years old, the father of my 6 children decided to leave, leaving me in a foreign country( America) with Nothing except my 6 kids to care for. Can you imagine a young mother with 6 kids under the age of 8 being without any source of income or any financial support???
I decided to go out and find a job and instead of one, I got 3 jobs.I worked so hard to provide for my children.Their father denied me the child support that the court ordered him to pay by fleeing the country.However, I raised my kids, sent them to great schools earning bachelor and Masters degrees.I myself went back to school and earned a degree from Chico State University.
My children now are holding successful jobs, loving me forever, pursuing happy lives, and I get to watch them all grow and prosper.
Money was very limited raising my kids, but the amount of love, care, compassion, and happiness Can Not be bought with any endless numbers of dollars.
I thank God, Family, Friends, community who helped me greatly be where I am right now.

We all need some stuff, and activities and we all have to pay the bills to earn the Knowledge, joy and leisure, its all about priorities and needs wants. money helps to get all your needs and demands. more demands mean more struggle.
Money can't buy happiness but it brings a pleasant form of misery. Money does not buy happiness, it brings it. In other words money can buy you things which feel,smell exactly like happiness.
Money does buy happiness, indirectly.
What bring us happiness? Family to spend time with them.
If I got the money, I'm not answering this question here in my office, instead I will spend my time with my family, doing crazy things with my kids, helping my wife to prepare dinner and having the best time of my life with them.
