Is quality maintenance necessary for purchasing of raw material?

In my opinion yes.

I used to inspect my purchases and that of other buyers. At times our Receiving QC stopped me early in the morning to inspect the RM's.

At times you have to change vendors in order to receive a good quality product. It is important for manufacturing not to be interrupted and having good quality RM's on the floor.

I found cheaper quality RM's has cost us more money and in man power and I switched to more reliable vendors which were able to provide me with the quality, lead time and a price in reason.... not to forget having a backup order at all times ready to ship

 

If the quality raw material is not procured then it will affect to all series of the operations performed during manufacturing and ultimately the finished product as well

Yes it is very important since it affects the out put (the quality of the products).

Quality maintenance is very necessary, when it comes down to material quality, the highest quality material should be considered when the budget allows it.  Poor quality material leads to poor product quality.

 

in my opinion its YES . for steel manufacturing in order to produce a quality low carbon steel the raw material iron should posses certain criteria

of course  quality maintenance is necessary for purchasing a raw materials because raw material directly affects the final product so in order to provide the best and effective product to the end consumer it is necessary to check the quality of raw material as it will directly affects your business.
