Missions and protect the head:

Helmet use solid treated with plastic to protect the head and resisting heavy shocks without being broken as well as resistant to penetration by falling objects. Helmet fitted inside the bond and plastic lining is tuned to fit the size of the head and the benefit of this lining it absorbs the shock of falling objects on the helmet from the outside where there is a safe distance between the lining and the body of the helmet. Before using the helmet must ensure safety and the absence of cracks or shocks them and ligaments, the lining is torn.

Risk on the head: the falling equipment or collision

Electricity types of helmets: risk

There are two types of helmets type I and type II

Type I

  Type II

Each type of the above types is divided into three grades:

Class A: This type is designed for light work and provides limited protection against the risk of shocks and protect the limited power supply (2200-volt only) one minute

Class B: This type is designed for heavy-duty and provides great protection against the risk of shocks, as well as great protection for the power supply (20,000 volts for 3 minutes).

Class A: to protect the eyes and face from the chemical and mechanical hazards must wear protective glasses or protective glass glasses or facial protector.

Missions and protect eyes and face:

It is a business examples that require the use of protective equipment for eyes and face:

1. work grinding / cutting

2. circulation of chemical substances

3. operations furnaces

The Occupational Safety and Health Department official measurement of the degree of noise in the workplace and in light of the measurement results is choosing the right stomach to prevent ear. Missions prevention own ear Reduces Noise degrees in the workplace to less than the limit of exposure has a limit, and writes on all of them intended reduction in the value of the intensity of the noise that can reduce them.

1. ear caps:

Covering the outer ear and be a barrier to sound and provides protection for the ear of the high risk of exposure to noise where the noise by reducing the intensity in the range of 15-35 dB, and is used when the intensity of the noise in the workplace from 90 to 120 decibels.

2. Earplugs:

Placed inside the ear canal and are made of plastic or rubber and can reduce noise by up to ear in the range of 20-30 dB and used in places where the intensity of the noise from 85-115 decibels.

In some places where the noise intensity is very high may reach 130 decibels are wearing ear plugs with ear coverings where noise is reduced in this case up to 50 dB.

OSHA standards require that the number 7 launch of the noise reduction coefficient for each stomach in order to more security

 Missions foot protection:

Most injuries suffered by workers in industrial places are foot injuries, so it should continue to wear safety shoes to protect the foot. Types of Safety Shoes: Leather Shoes safety are foremost covered with steel to protect the fingers of the danger of falling objects as well as there is a piece of steel between the soles to protect against the risk of penetration by sharp materials such as nails, these types also prevent skidding in the workplace. Long rubber safety work places rain water shoes always used as well as firefighters. Safety rubber boots intended for those working in the field of electricity, providing them significant protection against electrocution. Safety rubber shoes do not cause electrostatics occurrence and are used in places located by flammable materials so as not to cause static electrical charges in a fire in these materials.

Tasks and respiratory protection

Use different breathing apparatus to enable the person who has worn to work in

Basic PPE definition depends on the line of work you are involved. Most commonly composed of helmet, gloves, safety shoes/boots in safety related field but in medical, latex gloves, mask, coverall. In construction it is composed head & extremities protection, eye protection, and hearing protection.  Advance PPE is very broad. Usually it is about PPE that requires training, in donning & doffing, fit testing, and wearer must be certified to use it. Advance caring for advance PPE is in international standard like NFPA, OSHA, OSH. Commonly it is SCBA, SABA, HazMat Suit, and Confined Space equipment.

There is no such thing as basic and advanced PPE. PPEs is risk based, and therefore it depends on the result of the risk assecemnt of a specific job or occupation. PPEs are usually broken into 4 levels of protection: - Level one which is the basic/ general use industry equipment such as googles, helmets, foot wear and gloves. - Level two ujualy an appron tipe clothing for splash hazards. - Level three ujually includes specialised clothing such as fire resistant clothing along with some type of breathing protection device. - Level four is what is called encabsulating suites used to protect againest high hazard chemicals.
