With the huge strides made with wearable technology such as smart watches, Google glass, etc, I think mobile phones would be obsolete in the future.
The mobile phones of the future are expected to be more closely embedded in our day-to-day lives than ever before. Experts predict that in years to come mobile phones will become remote controls for our whole lives, while others forecast that in the future mobile phones will literally run our lives for us.

Nowadays, mobile is not just one purpose device. In my view, OEMs are looking forward to make mobile more than a smart gadget. They are enabling them to be our digital friend. A friend that have the access to all of your data either it's personal or professional. Mobiles are now able to control all of our data and can also alter them as per our instructions.
As a device , no major changes. different sizes , different touch capabilities , feature like fingerprint could be improved etc. But definitely , I can see every single detail in our daily routines will be managed by this small smart device (IoT). ex: I will start any device in my house through my mobile phone , from bed . I will start my car using my phone , I will check my blood pressure and sugar level ,have the results on my phone , send it to my doctor, I will use devices in my office using my phone, I will have remote access to ANYTHING.
Computing power of mobile phones is increasing day by day. There is more computing power on each of our handsets than which was present to put man on the moon. Currently innovation is happening in the fields of Artificial intelligence, machine learning, Augmented Reality etc. A combination of these technologies allows the phone to answer to voice based commands and present outputs in the real world. The future is in AI and machine learning where almost all aspects of our life can be automated. Siri and Google assistant is example where all these technologies are used.
Virtual Reality and AI will be improved to make the smart phone more smart
In my point of view, Future of the mobile will be too advanced but that will be the biggest disaster to humans. When advancement gets upgrading humans are just wasting their time, no physical work, mental stress, loss of good mental mind. The New feature that can be added to mobile is an Automatic timer with help of artificial intelligence so that there will timings to operate the mobile phones and restrictions should be compulsory to use the technology limited. I'm saying this because humans are not conscious on their mistakes and most of them are like robots by losing their reality.
More dubable and light weight materials wil replace current device
One issue with all smart phones is battery drain. This wil be resolved. Solar power will be exploited to charge phones.
The overheating issues will be fixed.
The phone wil measure more biometric data
Phones will be faster than today's super computers

Atrificial Intelligence and Context awareness will be the new trend in mobile applications. Your applications will be able to help you to organise your every day activitis and they will help you to save plenty of time just like a personal assistant.
The Mobiles size will be further reduced and will come on the wrists or eyes and will become a full fledged computing device.
