The GenSet will be hybrid with 2M Watt Solar Arrays, the Gen set will be needed when the sun irradiation is not enough (cloudy hours/days) only.
It will not get serious harm for generator. what happen if unloaded are explained as follows
stator will not create counter magnet force (since current becomes zero)
rotor will starts to increase its speed. ( since no counter force coming from stator)
it will increase some speed than normal.
diesel engine have system of constant speed controller it senses the rpm and send control to fuel throttle to generate less mechanical power.
and system will go in idle/ stand by mode.
