Can the per capita income really show the economical condition of a country, where one group have more money and another is fighting to survive?

per capita income is calculated based on average using (arithmetic mean is the sum of incomes divided by the numbers of population) which is biased some group taking huge income and other suffering to live and in order to have best estimation we can use another type of average (The median is the middle point of a number set, in which half the numbers are above the median and half are below)

 

 

the per capita is calculated to show the average, it is considered to be accurate within well divided societies.
