TDC (transverse duct connection):

As per duct manufacture catalogs is a flange constructed from the main duct sheet which means it is attached to it it has the same duct gauge

TDF (transverse duct flange):

It is a separate manufactured flange (slip on flange) that you can fix it on the main duct, it may has the same duct gauge or more, you can buy it separately as an accessories.

TDC (T-25a) (Transverse Duct Connector System) - As per duct manufacture catalogs is a flange constructed from the main duct sheet which means it is attached to it and has the same duct gauge.

TDF (T-25b) (Transverse Duct Flange) - Is on based to the construction standards follow SMACNA. On TDC the hem on the flange is on the outside; on TDF the hem on the flange is on the inside.

Though Smacna doesn’t differentiate between the two, the T25B (F) profile is often considered a better profile because it’s hemmed to the inside, not only adding strength but also leaving no exposed edge on the outer part of the duct. TDC’s raw edge on its turned-out hem is a reason many shops, given a choice, would favor the TDF. This raw edge can be a safety concern when handling Duct on the Job Site.

TDC = transverse duct connections. basically they are conner pieces that go into a groove that is formed into the ductwork. TDF transverse Duct flanges, basicaly "f" corners. They are nicer to use, and snap into place. Unlike Tdc, the normally do no need to be crimped like "c" corners. Both type of corners have bolt holes, and two pieces of duct are bolted, and clips installed (usally 6" long, about 6" apart). I myself, pefere TDF, just nicer to work with.  I may suggest finding information on a product called Ductmate 35, which makes an awesome flange that screws onto the duct if a machine is not avaiable.
