Why is Corporate Social Responsibility not progressive as it should?

Unfortunately, in the Arab world CSR is viewed as an extra expense with no actual benefit. However, CSR is the actual opposite. If it's done correctly, then your activities will increase your exposure to the public whether they're in your target market or not. People love to talk about other peoples' achievements, and once they see that a company is being socially responsible and taking care of the community, then that will improve the public's view of your company and consequently, positive word of mouth will be generated.
