i faced such issues 2years before with a lady of my team. I was just taking in charge my position ( manager of the department) and she was acting very negatively and was perturbating all the department.
I tried to know what was her problem ( it was easy; She was expecting to get my post and my position when she knew that someone from outside the company was recruited...me)So we talked.. discussed...echanged point of views... 2 or 3 meetings At last she was convinced that I had ( I have) more skills, more experiences than she has for this position. She tried to improve some of her skills ( lake let's say) and I triend to help her..Finally, I recommanded her in another department when I realized that she was ready to be manager. She (now ) is now , grateful and thankful for my help and my understanding. For resume: We need to talk and to listen to each other.
