Naturally, one would be nervous and have various safety concerns about diving into the Dark Web, however, it has been exaggerated in popular culture. Whilst it does contain rather shocking content, it also houses a lot of funny conspiracy theories as well as fictional accounts.
It is important to note that Tor’s hidden services are not more dangerous than the regular internet. As long as you continue to engage in safe internet practices whilst on the Dark Web, you will not find yourself in trouble. Depending on your conduct, you could even be safer on the Dark Web! If you are using a Tor browser, it is preconfigured to protect you and your computer against potential privacy violations, which most normal browsers would be unable to. Furthermore, never use your real name, or your real email address, as this is very easily traceable ;)
