Which thermodynamic cycle is used for pneumatic engine ?

If it comes to an engine, the best thermodynamic cycle used would be Carnot cycle … because in an engine, the heat addition would be at a single location I.e in the combustion chamber or the burning chamber and the Carnot cycle even tells the same that , the heat addition would be at single point when there is an increase in volume and with constant pressure while the other processes being adiabatic heat expansion and rejection
