Same as freelance consultant in the area of research, development, institutionalization, capacity assessment..etc. (for instance).

You will have to fully familiarize with the technical aspects as professional translator + complementary requirements such as facilitation skills, good personality and presence...etc. as well as reasonable relevant experience.

In fact, freelance attribute it is not that rank given by regular functional gradation / promotion rather its an attribute for the type of job you are performing i.e. to perform pre-specified work / service in certain period in certain professional manner.

RIR

1. Reliability: QCC (Quality - Capacity - Commitment): provide quality work and be there when needed.

2. Image: create an honest image and work hard to make it a reputation. For instance: you're accurate, fast, creative, offer low prices etc.

3 Reach: get to customers (companies - translation website - send 500 CVs and don't ever stop until you're at full capacity) - build a customer base - retain your customers by ensuring their satisfaction with your work => No. 1.
