Many poeple view marketing as an art, however some view it as a science. The philosophy that marketing is a science or rather some sort of engineering is termed as "Marketing Engineering".

Generally refers to electronic markets. When an electronic market is property and systematically analysed, created, organised within various legal, financial/economic and operational frameworks, the marketing is termed as Marketing engineering. The research and analysis is based on various business strategy models and a holistic approach is applied.
