Difference between Auto-cad and Revit:

Auto cad is best for 2D drawings like detail drawings where only line work is needed. Revit is good for 3D modelling,generating cost schedules.

In Revit if you make changes in floor plans all changes will automatically take place in Elevations,sections & 3D model.but this is not a case with Autocad.
