coach is a guru in a specific area he or she identifies your strengths and weaknesses. Heor she improves on your weakness and as well strengthen your ability. 

A mentor assists in the area of weakness but basically rely on the ability of individual for better results

A consultant is a specialist in a specific area with a vast techninical expertise eg business development you may require a business consultant who may assist you the appropriate to venture on depending on market forces as well as location foretelling the likely challenges and prospects you may face.

Coach concentrates on areas where you are week and restricting only to a specific achivement, eg:- studies or sports etc.

Mentor also works on area where you are week but as whole personality development which is not restricted to one company, you can carry over the develped competencies to your future companies as well.

Consultant does not work on your week areas, but he studies your personality and advices on the areas of development and shows you the way which you have to take and walk in order to be sucessfull
