The health effects of coffee are quite controversial.Depending on who you ask, it is either a super healthy beverage or incredibly harmful. But despite what you may have heard, there are actually plenty of good things to be said about coffee. For example, it is high in antioxidants and linked to a reduced risk of many diseases. However… it also contains caffeine, a stimulant that can cause problems in some people and disrupt sleep.

That’s the catch. Coffee came by the nickname “jitter juice” honestly. Ingest too much caffeine and a pleasant buzz can nosedive into restlessness, nervousness, insomnia and even muscle twitching. The effect is so reliable, says Laura Juliano, PhD, a caffeine researcher at American University in Washington, D.C., that researchers who study anxiety use caffeinated coffee to incite feelings of anxiousness in study participants.

But not everyone responds the same. A small cup of coffee leaves some people feeling twitchy while others can down a pot without batting an eye. Body weight, age, gender and even genetics may factor in to how the body metabolizes caffeine, says Evatt. Which is why coffee’s vice-and-virtue story is comparable with red wine and chocolate — satisfying substances that are healthy and that attract enthusiasts, but require sensible consumption.

But you should take note for that; only 2 (two) cups of Coffee ( one cup in the morning and one cup in the afternoon), these will help you to make you alert, awake and alive for the whole day of activities. Having 2 cups of coffee everyday is the most beneficial for the human health. As our body needs at least 6% of Caffeine per day. But too much caffeine is also not good. It may cause muscle spasm and anxiety attacks. For a good cause of consuming coffee, you have to avoid drinking Instant Coffee or an Instant Mixed Coffee. These fire up the neurons, responsible for better memory, mood, vigilance, logical reasoning, energy levels, reaction times and general cognitive function.

7. Lowers stress: Coffee aromas lead to changes in brain proteins tied to stress, felt as a result of sleep deprivation and over exertion.

8. Prevents Heart Disease and Stroke: Antioxidants, in coffee, help quell the damaging effects of inflammations on arteries. Improves the ratio between “bad” LDL and “good” HDL cholesterol by 8%.

9. Improves Vascular Health & regulates Blood Pressure: Improves health of the blood vessels by increasing nitric oxide production in the endothelium, improving vascular muscle tone. Helps maintain healthy arterial pressure, lowering blood pressure over the long-term.

Caffeine and antioxidants, Chlorogenic and Caffeic acids, prevent liver inflammation and reduce risk of Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), a rare autoimmune disease of the bile ducts in the liver.

17. Cancer Cure: Antioxidants, Caffeic and Chlorogenic acid, prevent Glioma (a form of brain cancer), lower risk of developing Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC)—most common type of skin cancer (in women) and endometrial cancer(cancer of the lining of the uterus).
