Thank you very much for the Invitation.

Civil Law deals with the disputes between Inividuals, Aritificial persons or between Individuals and Artificial persons for infringement of any their rights by another.

Ex : Property matters, Succession, Matrimonial, etc.

Criminal law deals with the offence against public at large, thereby State is the party in Criminal law against the offenders or law violators.

Ex : All Crimes like theft, murder, cheating, rape, etc.

Basic difference is An Individual(natural or Artificial person) enforcing the rights which was infringed by any an/other Individuals is to deal in civil law where as offences against the society, state at large are criminal law so the complainant is State in Criminal law.

This is the basic information about civil and criminal law. Thanks.

criminal law

In criminal law, a guilty defendant is punished by either (1) incarceration in a jail or prison, (2) fine paid to the government, or, in exceptional cases, (3) execution of the defendant: the death penalty. Crimes are divided into two broad classes: felonies have a maximum possible sentence of more than one year incarceration, misdemeanors have a maximum possible sentence of less than one year incarceration.

civil law

In contrast, a defendant in civil litigation is never incarcerated and never executed. In general, a losing defendant in civil litigation only reimburses the plaintiff for losses caused by the defendant's behavior.
