Heavy load is always a problem.
But having good time management will enable anyone to better work and better prioritize.
Starting with the high priority tasks is always preferable.
Sometimes you have to compensate and work over time a little bit, but in the end it will be for your success

Usually such files are created in organizations where everything is done on Network / Shared Folders only that is the reason files get hang / crashed because shared folders and Network sometimes doesn't support huge Data and Advance Formulas and huge Links (Links which are kept / saved on Network / Share folders only.
I would suggest while preparing such files make a cop on your Desktop and complete the task it takes even 80% lesser time and get save quickly, once the data is ready you may copy back the same on Shared Folders/Drives or Bank Network.
